Suggestions please

I want suggestions for suitable mementos that I can collect on my epic walk. For example I had a friend who whereever he travelled got a match box, most hotels and pubs had small boxes of matches with the name of the place on it. He had a vast number of these from all over the world. So get your thinking caps on and post your suggestions to me.
